The description headline is misleading. The package itself reads USB 1.1, 12mbps. Yes it's compatible with USB 2.0, most hubs are "compatable". Runs about as fast as 1.1. If you connect a high-speed USB device, XP will suggest that you use another higher speed port; however it works fine at the lower speed. That said, how many places can you get a tiny 4 port USB for $10.50 total (price, tax, shipping, everything). Besides, with $8.00 for shipping and handling what's the point in sending it back? Small enought to throw in the bag with your laptop. The cable length is about 3/4", so it either hangs off your laptop or dangles in the air from your desktop. Shipping was first rate, arrived by post within a few days. And please, don't get picky with me about the USB 2.0 spec. We all expect a hub advertised as 2.0 to have high-speed capability and pass-through, not just full-speed and low-speed that meet USB 2.0.
