I own a printer like this. Takes one ink cartridge, #1, and my printer got an error message, cover open.. called lexmark and can't be fixed. No other printer takes the #1 cartridge, now I am stuck with ink I can't use....

Worst printer I've owned December 22, 2008

This printer is not worth half the cost. I paid about $60 for this printer at Target about 5 months ago. It took forever to find a USB cable that would work with it. I dont know why it was so picky on USB cables. Secondly, even on the finest settings I can't even print an essay paper worth turning in. The ink isn't necessarily blurry, but it's "soft" and very light. It seems like it prints in grey, not black. Lastly, you have to have the paper inserted at a very precise way for it to load properly. Even if you manage to get it in the right spot (1/4"too high, it doesn't see paper in it, 1/4" too low and it's a paper jam) it often takes more than one sheet of paper through at a time.
Don't waste any more of your time, keep shopping.
